attitude

Day 7 Juneathon, attitude is a little thing that makes a BIG difference. Attitude can help change your day around, anytime you’re feeling low. Whisper Smile, smile, smile, It’ll instantly put a smile back on your face and brighten up your day. For this day will be another successful and eventful day. After yesterdays amazing performance, i thought I wanted to do speed work but ended up keeping it steady, as I'd promised to do a back session with one the trainer's at work. Glad I did, as it was hardcore.

Miles = 7 plus 2 later
feeling = great

go forth and enjoy the day for it will not come again

Every day is an opportunity we need to learn to embrace. Every day has something new to offer for that reason alone we must go forth and enjoy the day for it will not come again. With that thought in my head, and a deep desire to accomplish some dreams, to push myself to the extreme and come out victorious. Knowing I have the determination and perseverance necessary to train hard. Action has been taken. I know I will endure pain and suffering, maybe boredom along the way. But in my path I hope to discover another part of myself and gain personal satisfaction in the success, I will achievement. I aim to train and work hard. I will earn success the old fashioned way through blood, sweat and tears.

I aim to try and blog my journey, to keep a record of my progression and to keep track. I do not claim to be the best writer but all I can do is try J

‘Difference between a successful person and others is not lack of strength, nor a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.’  By the end of the month (June 2011) I aim to be running 30miles.

short 1

Today I should have done a really long run, but didn’t! I’m listening to my body and I knew it would have been a crapy effort. So did a bit and spent most the day doing nothing. Something I haven’t done for ages. I feel lazy but really good I think I needed a rest.

Day 5 of Juneathon and did 2miles J

sooooo tired

The shortest run I’ve done in a long time. Had some therapy which was crazy amazing and weird all in one. Knowing I needed to get some miles done I thought I’d run afterwards. Put on my comfy feel good red new balance and hit the road made it up the road just about. My body felt like it had done a marathon it was such a struggle got to the main road and headed straight back for home totalling a whole 1mile and 200meters L

As soon I got in headed for the fridge and ate all I could find and fell asleep on the couch trying to watch England v Switzerland.

Back to work after feeling great, and kept getting compliments, ‘you’re looking great’ yes, I was confused, but did notice I had that glow your skins has after a great run. Happy days J

all in a days work

It’s been a really long day, started with a run, met up with some guys around where I live and we did 5miles and gossiped and ran and gossiped some more. Nice day compared to the down pour of the other day. Interval runs using lamp post's to sprints to keep us going and not talking as much, getting the heart rate pumping hard before work, lovely.

Second run, just happened, due a cancellation of a meeting I had. with a few hours to spare i decided to jump on the treadmill and get some miles done. So part 2, on a treadmill and completed 5miles as boredom hit, I completed the 4miles I was aiming to do on the treadmill on the spin bikes.

Third run, yes another one only because I now had 2 hours to do nothing and decided to a few more miles and completed 6miles, again on the treadmill. All in all not a bad running day J
